I'm currently about halfway through testing a CMS called GetSimple. I think it does a little more than what I need for my school project but that being said it's a really slick little project. However, this post isn't about GetSimple. It's about a CMS called LotusCMS.
This is going to be a very short and sweet post.
Don't use LotusCMS.
It's buggy, not being actively updated, and requires quite a bit of tinkering to get it working. There are numerous other packages out there which are "better", regardless of what your defintion of better is.
